PAINTINGS

This work reflects on collaboration and cooperation through paintings featuring shifting overlays of images that emerge from our combined practices. Kelly Leslie, a graphic designer, and Craig Cully, a painter, aim to discover what arises from our differing perspectives.These pieces explore the varying perceptions in human relationships—embracing connections, slips, and misalignments. By challenging the boundaries of our individual practices, we seek to find immanence rather than transcendence, creating visual archives of our co-creation process.

As a creative couple with distinct disciplines, we often encounter tension regarding each other’s practices. Exploring our differing definitions of art and design allows us to produce results that inspire creative solutions and transcend our individual selves.

Our paintings  embody the interplay of space, color, and form, representing both the chaos and order inherent in our experiences.
